Pinwheel card

I made this card at my upline's monthly club.  She has the coolest decorated studio.  I'm really into pinwheels lately.  This one is 4" x 4" and made with SU Polka Dot Parade DSP. I just love that paper pack.  The tiny pinwheel is a stamp from the Hostess set Happy You.  I really like the new 1/4" Stitched Grosgrain Ribbon.  It's so nice to have markings on both sides of the ribbon so I don't have to struggle making my bows look good on both sides.

Pinwheel Basket

I got the idea for this cute basket from Vicki on Stamping 411.  All the DSP is from SU BIG TOP.  I used two 3" x 9" inch strips of the striped paper scored at 3" and 6" and tied on each corner with twine.  The pinwheels are 3" x 3" and hot glued on 6" dowels that I painted red, blue and yellow and stuck in a styrofoam ball.  I used SU retired star die to make the stars that I ran through the Big Shot using the Polka Dots folder.  I'm taking this basket to a 4th of July party for a thank you hostess gift.  I think she'll like it.

American Ink

Today is my club American Ink.  Once a month Stampin Up! Demonstrators from Terry's downline get together at her beautiful studio to make cards, chat and eat lots of goodies.  We either bring a swap,  make 'n take or food.  We have a lot of fun.  Each month I try to do something different.  Today I'm bringing a make n take.  The base is Pool Party, the paper is DSP Sweet Shop, then I made hearts from Glimmer paper and Pool Party and finished it off with a 1/8" Whisper White Taffeta bow.  My husband thinks it's stunning!

Olivia's Valentine

My little four year old neighbor girl, Olivia, needed 24 Valentine's for her class and didn't want to have the store bought kind, so her Mother asked me if I would design something for her.  I gave her two choices, one with a bear and one with a heart.  She picked the heart and so the assembly line was off and running.  It was so cute watching how intense she was gluing all the parts together.  After several hours the project was all done.  All supplies are StampinUp except the face which is Peachy Keen.  They turned out so cute.

Vellum Lantern and orange juice

Diane from Capadia Designs gave me the idea to drink a lot of orange juice! Actually she meant the lid from Tropicana orange juice makes a great holder for a lantern.  I spray painted the lid gold, added some bling and little homemake roses and leaves and wa-la a beatuful vase for my lantern. I took a piece of vellum and ran it through the Big Shot using the Petals-A-Plenty folder from Stampin Up.  Next I cut the top with a scallop punch and rolled it into a tube amd glued it together. I dabbed a glitter pen in the center of each flower to add some pazazz!  Next I made a box with Tami's inststructions and decorated it with Stampin Up paper and ribbon.

Glitter Ornament and a pretty Box

Diane from Capadia Designs has a link on her blog to Everyday Cricut showing how to make beautiful Christmas ornaments starting with Pledge Floor cleaner.  The Pledge is hard to find, but I asked Wal Mart to let me know when they got some in which they did.  It was under $6 for a large bottle.  I checked out Tami's blog and she had very easy instructions to make a box.  I decorated it in beautiful Stampin Up Christmas paper and have been giving the two as gifts.

My unedited work space!

Christina from Creations with Christina told everyone today to grab their cameras and take a picture of their work area.  What a shock!  I always try to keep my room clean and organized, but obviously today wasn't one of those days.  Clutter, clutter, time to find the wastebasket and start dumping all those little sticky notes I seem to stick everywhere there's a blank spot. Christina wants us to send her our picture...now if only I can figure out how to do that!  I'm so new at this blog business.
